DAILY PRAYERS FROM WAKING TIL REST

We use these prayers for today to send messages of loving kindness
and care from our heart to humanity. We are not alone in our prayer.
We are in this life together. What we share from ourselves matters to all of life.

No matter what’s taking shape and place around us, we can control our actions, our thoughts, our words, and our deeds. One of the strongest courses of action I know is to send love and loving kindness into the world. I choose to do so through daily prayer. What better time than now to share such love with the world.

I have written these daily prayers for us so that we may use them and send the messages of love from our hearts to humanity. You can direct your prayers to specific folks or share widely. You can use language for God or Holy Other or Light and Life or not. I’ve made these to suit any spirituality or none at all.

Over the month, you'll notice what comes to life within. You'll be changed one way or another. And I believe, too, that the world feels the ripples of your prayer, your hopes, your intentions, and your energy. It's collective care. It's generous. It's a gift.

What happens if you miss a day or don't get to the prayers one or all four times a day? Take a breath - no worries. You have the opportunity to read and pray the prayers as you're able. You can read them all at once, return to them throughout the day, or not. There's no right. There's no wrong. The prayers are being prayed when you think of opening your email to pray. When you think of praying, you're praying. When you hold the intent to pray or send wellbeing and gratitude and hope - you're doing just that. It's really quite amazing what takes shape within your own awareness.  

Beginning in Week 2, I will add additional prompts including art journalling. You can be a practicing artist or shy creatively. This is an opportunity to explore your creative roots and gather courage to make marks, journal, use art materials, and play. It’s about exploration and igniting the creative spark that is within you. It’s also a container for that playful spirit within you. Engage in the way(s) you want and let what remains rest. Only what is welcome is invited in.
